Completed in 2020 to accommodate the F-16 and currently under renovation for the F-35, the Squadron Operations Facility for the Alabama Air National Guard at Dannelly Field is meticulously designed to offer a state-of-the-art building integrating simple and sustainable elements. Functionality and aesthetics harmonize, providing a facility for daily operations, including weapons and tactics, intelligence, briefing/debriefing, standardization and evaluation, flight planning, safety and records, physical training, life support, scheduling unit administration, aircrew chemical equipment, command post, and base operations. The facility adheres to all applicable ATFP requirements, along with the current United Facilities Criteria for fire, building, and energy codes. Sustainable and energy-efficient strategies were implemented, and all sensitive information areas were designed in compliance with applicable Secure Access Program Facility (SAPF) requirements outlined by the Federal Government.
