SS&L is proud to announce that our very own intern, Parker Colton, has been selected to receive the National Student Employee of the Year Award by the National Association of Colleges and Employers (NACE).
Since joining SS&L Architects at the end of his second year at Auburn University, Parker has been instrumental in the success of several high-profile projects. His work spans the Auburn University Sports Medicine Facility, the Melton Student Center Renovation, Alabama State Parks projects, Air University master planning, a reserve center for the Alabama State Military Department, and numerous residential projects. Parker’s technical proficiency with our software suite is exceptional, streamlining our design processes and improving project outcomes.
Parker consistently seeks to enhance his skills and apply new knowledge to benefit our operations. He voluntarily enrolled in advanced software training sessions and subsequently led internal workshops to elevate the team’s capabilities. This initiative has bolstered our firm’s efficiency and the quality of our architectural designs, demonstrating Parker’s commitment to both his personal growth and the firm’s advancement.
Parker’s contributions extend beyond his responsibilities. His involvement in the design of the Auburn University Sports Medicine Facility has had a lasting impact on the university community, providing state-of-the-art facilities for student-athletes. Additionally, his work on the Alabama State Parks projects has enhanced public spaces, contributing to the well-being and enjoyment of the community at large.
“Parker Colton’s dedication, skill, and initiative make him an exemplary student employee,” said Jimmy Seay, Jr., Founder and Senior Principal Architect at SS&L. “His contributions have not only been pivotal in the success of our projects but have also positively impacted the university and broader community.”
Congratulations, Parker!
